Sarnath, India
Sarnath (English: Sarnath) has different names according to its meaning. All the buildings in Sarnath were completely destroyed by the Turks, but the Dhamekh Stūpa was preserved in the ruins. The tower is 39 meters high and 28 meters in diameter. It is one of the few remaining buildings from the Ashoka period. The ruins of Mulagandhakudi Vihara mark the place where the Buddha lived in Tin during the first rainy season. To the east of this place is the Mūlagandhakuī vihāra, newly built in 1931, with exquisite murals describing the life of the Buddha, and then the Deer Park, where deer still live.
