Do you guys remember back when the Olsen Twins used to be everywhere? Nowadays, the two are lying low and almost completely out of the spotlight. That doesn’t mean that they are forgotten, though. Just before the two launched their very own fashion line, “The Row,” in 2006, the two made their first appearance at the Met Gala in 2005.

The Olsens didn't get the memo about the night's theme. While the Gala was celebrating Chanel, Ashley wore Oscar de la Renta while Mary-Kate donned a vintage piece. Despite these looks being so bluntly of the early noughties, we still enjoy them.

This Prada frock might seem strange at first, but when the theme is camp, there's no such thing as too much. "The Great Gatsby" actor enrobed an elegant evening gown made out of various fabrics and textures.

With red sequins and black stain, the pink sash was really needed in order to somehow tie the whole look together, and Carey Mulligan looks great in it. In 2022, the star also attended the annual event, and this time, she wore a Schiaparelli Couture robe, which allegedly took an embroiderer 4000 hours to make. She obviously takes the saying “go big or go home” seriously when it comes to getting dressed up for big events.
