Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson once said: "There is no star as lovely as the street lights of Edinburgh..."
Overlooking the city from Edinburgh Castle is something you can’t miss when you come to Edinburgh. If you are lucky enough to catch some snow, it will be even more beautiful! If you want to get rid of "just being in this mountain" and see the whole picture of Edinburgh, you might as well conquer Calton Hill, where you can enjoy the sunset and overlook the blue Atlantic Ocean.

Oh, and of course not to be missed is the annual Christmas market, located in East Princes Street Gardens (23.11.17-24.1.6). It is very large, with more than 70 stalls. Admission is free, and there is also a huge Ferris wheel and ice skating.
