3L-What Were They Thinking?

The members of the girl’s group 3LW confused everyone a little bit when they showed up to the 2001 Met Gala in neon, skin-tight, and short attire. And do you blame them? No one’s entirely sure what those outfits have to do with the theme of "Jacqueline Kennedy: The White House Years." And secondly, their outfits don’t really match each other either.

Since they came as a group, you’d at least hope that there was some sort of a theme going on with the trio, but nope, there was none of that on this occasion. Do you care to wager a guess? Well, they turned heads alright, but probably not in the way they’d hoped.

The Czech model and actress Karolina Kurkova showed up to the 2005 Gala in this long white gown, which included a large, “I love you,” sewn across in bright red. Other images from the night reveal the dirty, wet steps outside of the museum, so who knows what the bottom of the dress looked like by the end of the evening!

While she may have been trying to nod to the House of Chanel, who was being honored with that year’s theme, it was more of a swing and a miss than a home run. Yikes! At least she did manage to redeem herself in the 2016 Met Gala with a gorgeous white floral dress.
