Sometimes, heads are turned because they look immaculate, and other times, it's due to poor wardrobe decisions. Perhaps this time was the latter. Kim Kardashian’s 2013 Met Gala getup is reminiscent of curtains you’d see hanging in grandma and grandpa’s place.

The pregnant celebrity chose this busy, floral print, which didn’t suit her very well, and drew an array of negative reviews from commentators after the event. Later, she admitted that she “cried the whole way home” over the poor response to the Givenchy gown.

At the 2014 Met Gala, actress Katie Holmes arrived in a super-bright, mustard-colored yellow dress by Marchesa. Perhaps she was trying to channel Belle from "Beauty and the Beast." However, something just got lost in translation, and the off-colored, off-the-shoulder dress scored her a spot on several worst-dressed lists that year.

In fact, that year’s event has been called the “worst-dressed met Gala ever.” The theme was “Charles James: Beyond Fashion.” Charles Wilson James was one of the most prominent fashion designers of the 20th century, but since the theme was quite dated, it may explain why it was dubbed one of the worst-dressed Gala events.
