Model Gigi Hadid seemed to be channeling a bit of French maid with this odd Tommy Hilfiger look that combines a choppy, nude-colored dress with black fishnet thigh-highs. The whole thing just screamed “mess” and landed her on several worst-dressed lists from the event.

Of course, there were a few people who thought the dress, sans the fishnets, looked appealing. We aren’t sure if it’s the actual dress that caused all the controversy or the color tones, which clearly didn’t work too well with the star’s hair and skin tone. Maybe, just maybe, the same dress with a few shades darker would have been a better fit.

Cara Delevigne was definitely not playing it safe when she attempted to channel Chiquita Banana with her bright-colored getup at the 2019 Gala. She mostly certainly hit the "Camp: Notes on Fashion" theme on the head, but whether the whole thing went according to plan or not, we aren’t so sure.

It wasn’t so much the striped rainbow-colored dress or even the scepter. It was the hat that turned heads. The headpiece she was wearing was covered in fake teeth and eyeballs – one of which she said afterward weighed 10 pounds. Apparently, her scepter broke in the lobby of her hotel on the way to the event, and a stranger lent her a glue gun.
